4 Way Street ist das zweite Album von Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (beziehungsweise das dritte von Crosby, Stills & Nash, wenn man ihr Debütalbum ohne Young mitzählt) und ihr erstes Live-Album. Die Live-Aufnahmen entstanden bei Auftritten im Fillmore East in New York City (2.–7. Juni 1970), dem Forum in Inglewood bei Los Angeles (26.–28. Juni 1970) und dem Auditorium in Chicago (5. Juli 1970). 4 Way Street wurde als Doppelalbum veröffentlicht und erreichte Platz 1 der US-LP-Charts.

Die 1992 veröffentlichte CD-Version enthält vier Bonustitel (je einen von David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash und Neil Young), die alle nicht dem CSN(Y)-Repertoire, sondern vorhergehenden Band- und Solo-Aktivitäten der Künstler entstammen, jedoch während der CSNY-Konzerte 1970 gespielt wurden.

4 Way Street is the third album by Crosby, Stills & Nash, their second as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and their first live album. It was originally released as Atlantic Records SD-2-902, shipping as a gold record and peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. A document of their tour from the previous year, the live recordings presented were taken from shows at the Fillmore East (New York City, New York) on June 2 through June 7, 1970; The Forum (Los Angeles, California) on June 26 through June 28, 1970; and the Auditorium Theatre (Chicago, Illinois) on July 5, 1970.
