Magician Among the Spirits is the tenth album by the Australian alternative rock band The Church, released in August 1996.[2] The album title was inspired by a book written by Harry Houdini and C. M. Eddy, Jr. (uncredited) in 1924, in which the famed magician discussed his investigations of spirit mediums. A photographic negative of Houdini is incorporated as the centrepiece of the album artwork. The album was reissued with a revised track listing as Magician Among the Spirits And Some in 1999.

Magician Among the Spirits (en español: Mago entre los espíritus) es el noveno álbum de estudio de la banda de rock australiana The Church, publicado en 1996 en medio de problemas graves de distribución con un sello estadounidense.[4] Con Tim Powles como nuevo baterista, este tuvo un impacto en la formación, incluyendo participaciones de Peter Kopples como invitado en diferentes canciones del álbum y uniéndose nuevamente a la banda para su gira de septiembre.[1] Como consecuencia del álbum y gira promocional, empezaron las grabaciones para Hologram of Baal, con presentaciones en Estados Unidos por primera vez en casi ocho años.[5]
