The Power Station is the debut album by the supergroup The Power Station, released in 1985 on Capitol Records. The album peaked at no. 6 on the US Billboard 200[5] and no. 12 on the UK Albums Chart.[6] All three singles released from the album were Top 40 hits in the United States. An anniversary edition was released 21 February 2005, featuring 7 bonus tracks, as well as a 35-minute DVD.[es] The Power Station (álbum)

Integrado por John Taylor y Andy Taylor de Duran Duran, Tony Thompson de Chic y el vocalista Robert Palmer, el proyecto nació en 1984 durante un parón de Duran Duran. El concepto original de los Taylor era realizar un disco con distintos cantantes como invitados, entre ellos Palmer, quien iba a participar solo en el tema «Communication». Sin embargo, cuando él probó con la versión de «Get It On» de T. Rex, optaron por grabar todo el álbum con él.
