Rezeption

Auch beim Zweitwerk setzte sich die kontroverse Berichterstattung fort. Auf metal.de betrachtete Florian Schörg das Album kritisch und kommentierte, es handele sich auch bei The Nexus „nicht um ein mit Leidenschaft und Überzeugung eingespieltes Stück Musik, sondern [es wirke] eher wie ein durchkalkuliertes Styling-Produkt“, und er könne auf dem Album keinerlei Leidenschaft oder Überzeugung entdecken.[1] Hingegen bewertete Frank-Christian Mehlmann auf metalnews.de das Album positiv und kommentierte: „Jeder Handgriff sitzt und jeder Song schlägt ein wie eine Bombe. Die Refrains sind gleich im Ohr und das Album rauscht nur so mit Hits an einem vorbei.“ Zudem bleibe „alles wie zuvor – die Band kann nur gehasst oder geliebt werden“.[2]

The Nexus is the second studio album by Swedish-Danish heavy metal band Amaranthe. The album was released on varying dates in March 2013, starting on the 13th in Japan and concluding on the 26th in the US. The Nexus is a development of the sound and ideas Amaranthe introduced on their first record. The band stated that they felt "the contrasts are greater, the mix and blends of genres is more controversial, and more creative freedoms were taken in this album."[6] It was the last album with harsh vocalist Andy Solveström.

The Nexus es el segundo álbum de la banda de metal sueca/danesa Amaranthe. Fue grabado en Dinamarca durante el otoño del año 2012 y salió a la venta el 22 de marzo de 2013 a través del sello discográfico Spinefarm Records. El álbum alcanzó el puesto 4 en las listas de Finlandia y el puesto 90 en las listas de Suecia. El álbum fue lanzado en diferentes fechas de marzo de 2013, a partir del día 13 en Japón y concluyendo el día 26 en los EE.UU.
