Billie Jo herself had gone through a period of transition since originally recording with United Artists and producer Kelso Herston in the late ‘sixties. This was her first album since 1971 and covers a gamut of songs from her own smash hit to a reworking of “See the Funny Little Clown”, the ballad which marked Bobby Goldsboro’s own initial chart single for United Artists in 1964.[2]
