The song was released first as a track off his debut extended play titled Pandemic and later made a single, it is characterized as an Afropop song with elements of Reggae dancehall.
OkayAfrica included "Bounce" in the Best Nigerian Songs of 2021 and describe the song as "rising in the Nigerian charts and, with just one listen, it's easy to tell why this sugary and addictive track is a hit".[4][5]
