The song spent nine weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 24,[1] while reaching No. 3 on Billboard's Easy Listening chart.[2][3] In Canada, the song reached No. 19 on the "RPM 100",[4] and No. 7 on Toronto's CHUM 30 chart.[5] It was the third Bobby Sherman hit to be written by songwriter Danny Janssen, the others being Little Woman and La, La, La (If I Had You).
