Running (To You) is a song recorded by Nigerian singer-songwriter Chike featuring fellow Nigerian singer Simi.[1][2] it was released in February 12, 2021,[3] by Brothers record.[4] The song received mostly positive reviews from music critics and was named Nigeria’s most-viewed music video on YouTube for 2021.[5] It was nominated for the Best R&B Single and Best Collaboration at The Headies 2022[6][7][8]

Background and reception


The song received mostly positive reviews from music critics and tops one on the Apple Music Top 100 charts in Gambia, Kenya, and Uganda.[9][10]

Chike, one of the breakout artists of the Covid-19 epidemic year, strategically remixes his brilliant first album for worldwide success, and this duet with renowned songwriter Simi uses excellent songwriting to emote a song that is already in its feelings.[11]

The song was named Nigeria’s most-viewed music video on YouTube for 2021.
