The progressive rock song, according to Ehsaan Noorani, has an "anthemic stadium rock feel".[2] Mehra recommended Siddharth for the song as he had heard him sing on a campaign film he had done for an environmental organization. The composers chose him since he had the "grunge" texture to the voice, which the song demanded.[3]
The song, which was part of the initial teaser, was released on iTunes and other platforms on 23 May.[4]
The song immediately after the release entered Top 10, and later topped the iTunes charts.[5] It also entered the Radio Mirchi Top 10 chart and made its way up post release.[6]
We composed the hook with a strong stadium rock almost anthemic feel and then went onward to compose the rest of the song
I'm really thankful to Rakeysh uncle, more than anyone for this song. It was he who persisted on using my voice for the rock version.
