El primer álbum, Moon, Light & Flowers, fue editado con sus canciones cantadas únicamente en inglés. Sin embargo, el segundo y el tercero, Legionäre y Die chinesische Mauer, fueron editados con sus canciones cantadas tanto en alemán como en inglés, llevando los álbumes, en este último caso, los títulos de Legionnaires y The Invisible Man, respectivamente. Este último, además, tuvo una segunda versión publicada en 1986, que incluía su exitoso sencillo «Gambit», editado ese mismo año.

Die chinesische Mauer es el tercer álbum grabado por Michael Cretu, y segundo cantado en alemán. Este álbum tuvo una versión inglesa titulada The Invisible Man, cuyo listado de canciones era ligeramente distinto. Algunas de estas canciones fueron ligeramente acortadas, resultando en que la duración de las mismas eran más cortas que las del álbum alemán.

Ambos discos fueron publicados por el sello discográfico Virgin en 1985. De este disco salió el sencillo «Samurai», que fue todo un éxito en Europa (n.º 1 en Grecia, n.º 2 en Suiza, n.º 4 en Italia, n.º 4 en Suecia, n.º 12 en Alemania).[1] [2] Los temas «Intro», «Mikado» y «Coda» son instrumentales.

Ante el éxito que tuvo el sencillo «Gambit» en 1986, se decidió reeditar el álbum The Invisible Man incluyendo dicho tema en sustitución de «Carte Blanche».
