Fue lanzado el 9 de agosto de 2019, a través de Roadrunner Records. El primer sencillo, «Unsainted», fue lanzado el 16 de mayo de 2019, junto con su vídeo musical. We Are Not Your Kind es el primer álbum de Slipknot que se graba como una banda de ocho miembros, ya que su ex percusionista Chris Fehn fue expulsado de la banda en marzo de 2019 después de demandar al grupo por presuntas regalías no pagadas.[1]

El título del álbum se refiere a una letra del sencillo «All Out Life», lanzado el 31 de octubre de 2018, a pesar de no aparecer en el álbum global y solo en la versión japonesa que se agrega como canción extra.

Promoción

El sencillo «Unsainted» se lanzó el 16 de mayo de 2019 junto con su vídeo musical, el cual fue dirigido por el percusionista y cofundador de la banda, Shawn Crahan.[2] «Unsainted» y «All Out Life» fueron presentadas en vivo en Jimmy Kimmel Live! el 17 de mayo de 2019.[3]

We Are Not Your Kind is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. Recorded at EastWest Studios in Hollywood, California with co-producer Greg Fidelman (who previously produced the band's 2014 album .5: The Gray Chapter), it was released on August 9, 2019 by Roadrunner Records. The title is taken from a lyric in the song "All Out Life", which was released as a standalone single in 2018 and features as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album. We Are Not Your Kind is the only Slipknot album to be recorded as an eight-member band, as their former percussionist Chris Fehn was fired from the band in March 2019 after suing the group for alleged unpaid royalties.
