Es título del álbum es un pasaje derivado del libro "Moment of Freedom" (Momento de libertad), del escritor noruego Jens Bjørneboe.[5] El diseño de la carátula fue tomado de una ilustracvión hecha por Gustave Doré para el libro "The Raven" (el cuervo). Zeitgeist Memento, vocalista de la banda mexicana de metal extremo Repvblika colaboró con las voces en la canción "Oil Upon the Sores of Lepers".[6] "Satanarchrist" es una versión nueva de la anterior, incluida en el álbum Total Fucking Necro.

In the Constellation of the Black Widow is the fifth studio album by British extreme metal band Anaal Nathrakh, released on 29 June 2009 by Candlelight Records.[1] The album was also released on LP, limited to 500 copies. 250 copies are pressed on black and white splatter vinyl, and 250 copies are pressed on black and purple vinyl.[2]
