Jesu es el título del primer álbum de la banda de post-metal y shoegazing Jesu. Este álbum fue liberado el 25 de enero de 2005 por el sello discográfico Hydra Head Records,[1]mientras que en Japón fue liberado por el sello discográfico Daymare Recordings. En este álbum Jesu incorporó al batería Ted Parsons y al bajista Diarmuid Dalton, además del guitarrista Paul Neville en calidad de invitado; mientras Justin Broadrick, el fundador original de la banda; fue voz, guitarra, bajo y programación dentro de este álbum.[1]

El álbum fue grabado primeramente por Avalanche Recordings, el sello discográfico independiente perteneciente a Broadrick.[2] La versión del sello discográfico Hydra Head Records incluyó las ocho primeras canciones de la lista. Las dos últimas canciones corresponden al bonus-track exclusivo de la versión japonesa del álbum, liberada por el sello discográfico Daymare Recordings.[2]

Jesu is the first full-length album by British experimental music band Jesu, released through Hydra Head Records on 8 December 2004.[6] Unlike the Heart Ache EP, where Justin Broadrick executed all instrumentation himself, this release features Ted Parsons on drums, Diarmuid Dalton on bass, and a guest appearance by Paul Neville on guitar on the track "Man/Woman". The album was released in Japan by Daymare Recordings and contains two additional instrumental remixes on a bonus disc.[6] In February 2005, a double vinyl picture disc set was released by Hydra Head, limited to 1000 copies. The picture disc pressing contains an alternate, cleaner mix than the CD or standard LP editions.[7]
