Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music es el sexto álbum del grupo musical estadounidense The Smashing Pumpkins, que fue lanzado de manera gratuita para descarga digital por Internet el 5 de septiembre de 2000. Corresponde a una secuela del álbum MACHINA/The Machines of God, aunque hasta el momento no ha sido lanzado comercialmente. Está conformado por tres EP con caras-b y versiones alternativas de canciones, y por un LP doble que corresponde al álbum propiamente tal. Junto con su antecesor conforman dos álbumes conceptuales. Corresponde al último álbum de estudio grabado por el grupo antes de la separación del 2 de diciembre de 2000.

Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. It was released for free on the Internet on September 5, 2000. Plans for a standard physical release, bundled with the first part Machina/The Machines of God, were revealed to happen sometime in 2013,[2] but was postponed due to legal setbacks. In an Instagram Q&A in 2018, the band's frontman, Billy Corgan, revealed that all legal issues had been resolved. The two albums are planned to be remastered and released as a deluxe reissue; however, no release date has been announced.

Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music — шестой студийный альбом американской рок-группы The Smashing Pumpkins, был выпущен музыкантами через интернет, бесплатно 5 сентября 2000 года. Изначально Билли Корган планировал выпустить пластинку, в комплекте с Machina/The Machines of God, но руководство Virgin Records — на то время лейбла группы — отказалось издавать диск из-за низких продаж первой части дилогии. В 2013 году появилась новость, что альбом всё-таки будет выпущен на компакт-диске, в связи с переизданием каталога группы 1991—2000 годов[2], его выход запланирован на 2015 год.
