Nightclubbing -En español (literalmente): Visitar un club nocturno[1]- es el quinto álbum de estudio de Grace Jones lanzado el año 1981. Es el segundo álbum que Jones grabó en el Compass Point Studios en las Bahamas y se convirtió en el auge comercial de la cantante y la base de su gira A One Man Show. En diciembre de 1981 fue anunciado como el álbum #1 por la revista NME en su sección "NME Album of the Year".

El primer sencillo del álbum fue "Demolition Man", escrita por Sting para Jones y también incluida en el álbum Ghost in the Machine de The Police. El segundo sencillo "Pull Up to the Bumper" fue un éxito y se convirtió en una de las canciones más conocidas de Jones. Originalmente alcanzó el #53 en el UK Singles Chart en junio de 1981, y en 1985 fue re-lanzado tras el éxito del álbum recopilatorio Island Life con "La Vie en Rose" como lado B, alcanzando el #12.

El tercer sencillo de Nightclubbing fue "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)", que combinaba el tango argentino clásico de Astor Piazzolla con un ritmo reggae y algunas letras en francés. La canción "Nightclubbing" es originalmente una canción de Iggy Pop, que fue coescrita por David Bowie y su cuarto sencillo, "Walking in the Rain", fue originalmente grabada por la banda australiana de new wave Flash and the Pan e incluida en su álbum debut homónimo de 1979. Nightclubbing cierra con la balada "I've Done It Again", escrita por Barry Reynolds, con quien Jones compuso parte del material de su álbum Living My Life (1982).

Las notas del álbum recopilatorio de Universal Music The Grace Jones Story (2006) manifestó "un doble CD edición de lujo de Nightclubbing será lanzado en mayo de 2006 para celebrar el vigésimo quinto aniversario de su obra magistral", incluyendo como canciones extra los mixes originales de 1981 en 7" y 12", las cuales quedaron fuera del recopilatorio Private Life: The Compass Point Sessions, que incluye "Walking in the Rain" (2 diferentes, un mix en 12" y una editada en 7"), "Pull Up to the Bumper" (3 diferentes, un mix en 12" y también una versión dub en 7" realizada por el Allstars Compass Point llamado "Peanut Butter"), "Feel Up" (2 diferentes, un mix en 12"), "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)" (mix en 12"), además de una versión de 7" en español, titulada "Esta cara me es conocida". La doble edición de lujo de Nightclubbing se fijó para ser lanzada el 2009 para coincidir con el aniversario 50 de Island Records.

Nightclubbing is the fifth studio album by Jamaican singer and songwriter Grace Jones, released on 11 May 1981 by Island Records. Recorded at Compass Point Studios with producers Alex Sadkin and Island Records' president Chris Blackwell, as well as a team of session musicians rooted by rhythm section Sly and Robbie, the album marked her second foray into a new wave style that blends a variety of genres, including reggae, art pop, dub, synth-pop and funk. The album has cover versions of songs by Bill Withers, Iggy Pop, Astor Piazzolla, and others, and original songs, three of which co-written by Jones.
