Fue su primer sencillo promocional y el primer sencillo lanzado por Drakkar Entertainment. "Passion and the Opera" is the first promotional single[1] by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released from their album Oceanborn, the single was shipped only in a cardsleeve.[2] The song was played live only between 1999 and 2001, but since 2007 Tarja Turunen, Nightwish ex-frontwoman, is playing the song live with her own band, although when she does, the riff that starts off the song on the album is missing.
