El disco incluye el corte "Prince of Darkness", el cual fue incluido en la banda de sonido de la película homónima, del director John Carpenter, cinta en la que Cooper interpreta un pequeño papel, encarnando a un vagabundo asesino.[2] La canción puede oírse sonando en el walkman de una de sus víctimas, en determinado momento de la película. Del mismo modo, el disco incluye el tema Lock Me Up, que cuenta con la participación del actor Robert Englund, famoso por dar vida al célebre personaje Freddy Krueger.

Raise Your Fist and Yell sigue una tenue línea conceptual, la cual gira alrededor de un asesino serial anónimo, guardando ciertas similitudes con el álbum Along Came a Spider, que Cooper grabaría décadas más tarde.[1]

Raise Your Fist and Yell is the tenth solo studio album by American rock musician Alice Cooper, released on September 5, 1987, by MCA Records. It features the track “Prince of Darkness”, which is featured very briefly in the John Carpenter film of the same name, in which Cooper has a cameo as a murderous vagrant. The song can be heard on the Walkman of one of his victims. A music video was made for the song "Freedom", which also became the album's sole single. Raise Your Fist and Yell is the only Alice Cooper album to feature Ken K. Mary on drums and the second and last to feature Kip Winger on bass.
