Rock in Rio es el sexto álbum en directo realizado en Brasil durante el festival Rock in Rio por la banda de heavy metal Iron Maiden.[1][2] Esta presentación se caracterizó por presentar seis temas de su entonces nuevo disco Brave New World, además de algunos de sus clásicos más destacados. Este disco es el segundo disco (el primero en vivo) luego del retorno del vocalista Bruce Dickinson (en reemplazo de Blaze Bayley) y del guitarrista Adrian Smith, que volvió a la banda luego de su lejamiento en 1990. Esto resultó en elevar a tres el número de guitarristas.

Rock in Rio is a live album and video by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, recorded at the Rock in Rio festival, Brazil in 2001 on the last night of the Brave New World Tour. The band played to approximately 250,000 people; the second largest crowd of their career (the band's largest concert attendance was their 1985 Rock In Rio performance to an audience of 350,000)[3] and with the relatively recent return of lead singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith to the band, they recorded their fifth live release.
