Secret of the Runes es un álbum conceptual de la banda de metal sinfónico Therion que trata acerca del Árbol de los Mundos de la mitología nórdica. Se hizo una canción por cada uno de los nueve mundos que existen en ese árbol. Habla del secreto de las runas de cada mundo. Es decir, el secreto de cada mundo es su correspondiente runa, y el secreto de cada runa es que no sólo es un símbolo, sino que posee un significado espiritual oculto detrás de cada signo. Con un prólogo y un epílogo, las nueve canciones se dedican a otros tantos mundos.

Secret of the Runes is the tenth full-length musical album by Swedish symphonic metal band Therion. It's a concept album based on Norse mythology, where each song describes one of the nine worlds. Cover artwork was made by Thomas Ewerhard, it features nine Scandinavian runes, each corresponding to a certain mythological world.

Secret of the Runes — десятый студийный альбом шведской симфоник-метал-группы Therion. Был выпущен в 2001 году. Альбом является концептуальным и посвящён девяти мирам в скандинавской мифологии. Автором музыки всех песен является гитарист Кристофер Йонсон, а автором текстов — Томас Карлссон, который также принял участие в записи песни «Ljusalfheim».
