Slowly We Rot (en español: Lentamente nos pudrimos), es el primer disco de estudio de la banda Death metal Obituary, es considerado su trabajo más rápido, pesado y brutal en general. Este disco es una de las primeras muestras del Death metal, junto a otros trabajos de otras bandas como, Possessed, Death, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, etc. Slowly We Rot fue editado y lanzando en 1989 y relanzado en 1997 por la discográfica Roadrunner Records.

Slowly We Rot is the debut album by American death metal band Obituary.[2][3] It was released on June 14, 1989 and is the only Obituary album to feature bassist Daniel Tucker. Lead guitarist Allen West would leave soon after but returned for the third album The End Complete. It was re-released on January 27, 1997 with remastered sound and liner notes. Despite being recorded in standard tuning and with Fender Stratocasters, it is considered to be one of the band's heavier efforts. The remainder of the band's output has been recorded in D tuning.
