The Island Years es el disco compilatorio de la banda New Wave Ultravox, lanzado por Polygram y Spectrum en 1999, y es una versión más actualizada del compilado Slow Motion, de 1993. Recopila las canciones del grupo de 1977 y 1978, época de la ésta con el cantante original, John Foxx, y dos guitarristas diferentes, aunque no miembros al mismo tiempo en la banda, Stevie Shears y Robin Simon, antes del ingreso de Midge Ure y de los éxitos de la década de 1980.[1]

The Island Years is a compilation by Ultravox, released in 1999 by PolyGram and Spectrum labels. It contains songs from their three first albums (Ultravox!, Ha! Ha! Ha! and Systems of Romance), when John Foxx was the group's vocalist and frontman, and another two guitarists, Stevie Shears and Robin Simon were with them[2] (although not at the same time). The album is a compilation of the band's early years, before Midge Ure became a member, and the band scored a number of hits in the 1980s.
