White Light, White Heat, White Trash es el quinto álbum de la banda estadounidense de punk rock Social Distortion, lanzado el 17 de septiembre de 1996 a través de Epic Records.[1] El productor del álbum fue Michael Beinhorn.[2] Es el último álbum de estudio con Dennis Danell como guitarrista, quien falleció el 29 de febrero de 2000.[3] Además es el último lanzamiento de la banda en Epic Records. Hasta ese momento, fue el disco de la banda que alcanzó el puesto más alto en la lista de ventas, entrando en el Billboard 200 en el número 27.[3] Durante la primera semana a la venta vendió 30 000 copias.[4] El título es una referencia al álbum White Light/White Heat de Velvet Underground.[1]

White Light, White Heat, White Trash is the fifth studio album by American punk rock band Social Distortion, released on September 17, 1996, by 550 Music and Epic Records. The album was produced by Michael Beinhorn. After the release of Social Distortion's 1992 album Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell, the band toured until the end of 1993 and needed a break. After dealing with court battles over early recordings and attempting to retrieve them, package them up, and release them, Social Distortion wrote many songs to plan a new album.
