Acerca de la canción

La canción “Who Is It” fue escrita y producida por Björk. La versión original fue compuesta por Bogdan Raczynski pero según palabras del mismo Bogdan, no quiso publicar esta versión. "Es una cosa preciosa que hicimos Björk y yo, pero ahora esa música está flotando en las nubes, la gente necesita misterio y romance".

Videoclip

El vídeo musical de esta canción fue dirigido por Dawn Shadforth y fue filmado en Hjörleifshöfði, Islandia. La versión del video es diferente a la del álbum, pues la música está hecha con campanas y en el álbum es a capella. El vestido de Björk fue diseñado por Alexander McQueen quién también diseñó el vestido del vídeo de "Pagan Poetry", dirigió el de "Alarm Call" y fotografió la portada de "Homogenic".

"Who Is It" (sometimes "Who Is It (Carry My Joy on the Left, Carry My Pain on the Right)") is a song recorded by Icelandic singer Björk for her fifth studio album Medúlla. It was released as the lead single from the album on 18 October 2004 by One Little Indian Records. Björk wrote "Who Is It" during the recording sessions for her previous album, Vespertine (2001), when it was known as "Embrace Fortress"; she left it off the album it as she felt it came from "a different family". The final version features throat singer Tanya Tagaq and beatboxer Rahzel, and lyrics reflecting the dialogue between mother and child.
