Byrds est le douzième et dernier album studio du groupe américain The Byrds, paru en 1973.

Il inclut notamment deux reprises de Neil Young, Cowgirl in the Sand et (See the Sky) About to Rain.

Il marque les retrouvailles des cinq membres originels du groupe, pour la première fois depuis 1966. Devant l'accueil tiède que lui réserve la critique et le public, cette réunion n'a pas de suites et marque la fin des Byrds.

Byrds ist das 1973er Comeback-Musikalbum der US-amerikanischen Folk-Rock-Band The Byrds. Es ist seit 1966 das erste Album, auf dem alle fünf Gründungsmitglieder der Band spielen. Trotz schlechter Kritiken wurde Byrds ein kommerzieller Erfolg wie ihn die Band seit ihrem zweiten Album Turn! Turn! Turn! nicht mehr erlebt hatte. In den USA erreichte das Album in den Charts seinen Höhepunkt bei Platz 20, in Großbritannien kam es bis Platz 31.

Byrds is the twelfth and final studio album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in March 1973 on Asylum Records.[1] It was recorded as the centerpiece of a reunion among the five original band members: Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke.[2] The last time that all five members had worked together as the Byrds was in 1966, prior to Clark's departure from the band.[3] During the reunion, the current, latter-day lineup of the band continued to make live appearances until February 1973, with McGuinn being the only member common to both versions of the group.[4][5]

Fra gli undici brani presenti nell'album ve ne sono due composti da Neil Young ed uno da Joni Mitchell.
