• L'extrait "Kill everybody in the whole world!" qu'on entend durant l'intro de la chanson "The Destroying Angel" est tiré de la série humoristique anglais Blackadder II.

• L'extrait "Drive deeper the thorn" au début de "The Necrogeddon" est Sam Neill qui joue le rôle de Damien dans le troisième volet de La Malédiction.

• La pochette de l'album a été fait à partir de la figure de l'Ensemble de Mandelbrot.

• La citation "I suspect you would rather not hear these details, but you must learn them, else I would spare them the relation. God knows I wish I could be spared the telling." marquée dans le livret de l'album est tiré du roman The King in Yellow de Robert W. Chambers. Ce livre a également donné le titre de la chanson "The Yellow King".

• "Bellum Omnium Contra Omnes" signifie en latin "La Guerre Totale Contre Tous". Il correspend à la description par Thomas Hobbes de l'existence humaine dans son livre Leviathan.

• Le mot "Eschaton" vient de l'Eschatologie. C'est une théorie philosophique sur la fin des temps. Le refrain de la chanson "Timewave Zero" est "the 21st of December 2012, the end of time". C'est une référence aux Mayas qui affirmaient que le 21/12/12 serait le jour où Dieu reconstruit le monde pour la 7^e et la dernière fois.

Eschaton is the third studio album by British extreme metal band Anaal Nathrakh. Musically, the album continues in the vein of the previous album, Domine Non Es Dignus. Some reviewers have commented that the overall atmosphere and production are at the same time a step back towards the out-and-out ferocity of the band's debut. The album features guest appearances by Shane Embury (Embryonymous) on bass, and Attila Csihar (from Mayhem) performs vocals on "Regression to the Mean".

Eschaton es el tercer álbum de estudio de la banda Británica de Black Metal Anaal Nathrakh. Musicalmente, el álbum continua en la dirección de su trabajo anterior, Domine Non Es Dignus, incorporando esta vés al sonido un Grindcore más crudo, mezclándolo con voces limpias típicas del Black Sinfónico, dotando a este álbum de una atmósfera más cruda y caótica.

Eschaton — третий студийный альбом британской блэк-дэт-метал-группы Anaal Nathrakh, выпущенный 16 октября 2006 года на лейбле Season of Mist. Альбом получил положительные отзывы от музыкальных критиков, они отмечали удачное смешение блэк-метала с грайндкором. В записи альбома участвовали басист Napalm Death Шэйн Эмбери и вокалист Mayhem и Sunn O))) Аттила Чихар.
