Nightfall in Middle-Earth est le sixième album studio du groupe de power metal Blind Guardian, sorti en 1998.

Il s'agit d'un album-concept basé sur Le Silmarillion de J. R. R. Tolkien. Il comprend onze chansons, séparées par autant d'intermèdes parlés servant à faire avancer le récit.

La pochette de l'album représente Lúthien dansant devant le trône de Morgoth.

Nightfall in Middle-Earth (deutsch „Nachteinbruch in Mittelerde“) ist das sechste Studioalbum der deutschen Metal-Band Blind Guardian. Es entstand im Jahr 1998 in den „Twilight Hall Studios“ in Krefeld, den „Karo Studios“ in Brackel und den „Sweet Silence Studios“ in Kopenhagen und wurde am 24. April 1998 veröffentlicht. Es ist das erste Album Blind Guardians, das auch in den USA veröffentlicht wurde. Nightfall in Middle-Earth erschien auch als Picture-LP.

Nightfall in Middle-Earth is the sixth studio album by German power metal band Blind Guardian. It was released on 28 April 1998 through Virgin Records. It is a concept album based upon J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, a book of tales from the First Age of Middle-earth, recounting The War of the Jewels.[2][3][4] The album contains not only songs but also spoken parts narrating parts of the story. The cover depicts Lúthien dancing in front of Morgoth.
