The Harvest Floor est le cinquième album studio du groupe de deathgrind américain Cattle Decapitation sorti le 20 janvier 2009[8]. La couverture, dessinée par Wes Benscoter, montre la façade avant d'un grand abattoir, où une foule est dirigée vers l'intérieur pour passer de vie à trépas[9]. C'est le dernier album du groupe avec le bassiste Troy Oftedal.

Réception

D'après Nielsen Soundscan, l'album s'est vendu à 1700 exemplaires aux États-Unis la semaine de sa sortie. L'album a débuté à la seixième place du classement Billboard Top Heatseekers[10].

The Harvest Floor is the fourth studio album by American deathgrind band Cattle Decapitation. It was released through Metal Blade Records on January 20, 2009. The album was recorded and mixed at Sharkbite studios in Oakland, California, with engineering and production handled by Billy Anderson.[1] The artwork was designed by Wes Benscoter, and shows the outside of a large slaughterhouse with the "general public being herded inside to meet their demise."[1] It is the band's last album to feature bassist Troy Oftedal, and their first to feature drummer Dave McGraw. The album was inducted into Decibel's hall of fame.[2]
