The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! se compose de 12 pistes pour la version classique de l'album, les éditions bonus en CD comprennent des reprises du groupe Dead Kennedys avec le titre Police Truck et du chanteur-guitariste Sammy Hagar, avec le morceau This Planet's on Fire (Burn in Hell), dans lequel Sammy Hagar est invité pour enregistrer les chants[4],[5],[6]. L'acteur et rappeur américain Ice-T est invité sur le troisième titre de l'album, Night Stalkers[7]. Le premier single s'intitule We'll Be Back, il est publié le et est accompagné d'un clip, la chanson porte sur l'histoire d'un soldat sur la bravoure et le sacrifice personnel[8].

The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! is the sixteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on September 2, 2022, on frontman Dave Mustaine's Tradecraft label via Universal.[2] It is the first Megadeth album to feature drummer Dirk Verbeuren, the second Megadeth album to feature guitarist Kiko Loureiro, and their first studio album in six years since Dystopia (2016), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in the band's career. In production for more than two years, the album was produced by Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw.[1] During the album's recording, founding bassist David Ellefson was dismissed from the band due to a sex scandal. His bass parts were removed from the album and were re-recorded by Testament bassist Steve Di Giorgio.
