Grazie al successo ottenuto ed alle copie vendute (2 milioni nel mondo), l'album, nel gennaio 2006, diventa disco d'oro. Il primo singolo estratto è Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father), che parla dei problemi della cantante con il padre. Il secondo singolo estratto, a febbraio 2006, è I Live for the Day, che viene trasmesso sulle radio statunitensi; nonostante il successo radiofonico non viene registrato nessun video musicale della hit. A giugno 2006 viene trasmesso, sempre sulle radio americane, il terzo singolo Black Hole.

La Lohan ha promosso il disco in alcuni appuntamenti televisivi, tra cui il The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In copertina la cantante siede con lo sguardo concentrato rivolgendo le spalle allo spettatore con una E rossa stampata sulla sua schiena.

Questo è il primo album di Lindsay Lohan pubblicato in Italia.

La cantante ha creato Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father) nel suo caravan durante una pausa della realizzazione di Herbie - Il super Maggiolino; è un brano per il quale è stata accusata di aderire allo stereotipo delle denunce contro il padre.

The album features darker material than Lohan's debut studio album, Speak (2004). Recording sessions took place in several locations, including at Lohan's trailer during the principal photography of Herbie: Fully Loaded, where she recorded her vocals for the album's only single, "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)".

A Little More Personal (Raw) es el segundo álbum de estudio de la cantante estadounidense Lindsay Lohan, publicado el 5 de diciembre de 2005 como descarga digital, por la compañía discográfica Casablanca Records.[7][8] Lohan confirmó que estaba grabando su segundo disco en mayo de 2005,[9] y contó con la participación de Kara DioGuardi, Ben Moody, Butch Walker y Greg Wells como productores discográficos.[10][5] Inicialmente titulado There's Only One Angel in Heaven,[11] A Little More Personal (Raw) cuenta con un tema más oscuro en comparación con el anterior disco de la cantante, Speak (2004).[12] El álbum se centra en cómo ha sido la vida de la cantante desde que era joven, mientras que las canciones en general hablan principalmente del dolor del divorcio de sus padres, como así también su relación problemática con su padre Michael y las experiencias difíciles que ha tenido con sus parejas.[13][14][15][16] Las sesiones de grabación tuvieron lugar principalmente en el remolque de Lohan durante la filmación de la película Herbie: Fully Loaded, donde se grabó el primer y único sencillo del álbum, «Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)».[17] Además, Lohan versionó las canciones «I Want You to Want Me» (1977), de Cheap Trick y «Edge of Seventeen» (1982), de Stevie Nicks, donde fueron incluidas en el disco.[2][15] Entre sus géneros musicales, el álbum presenta influencias del pop, pop rock, teen pop dance y dance pop.[1][2][3][4]
