Una con il semplice CD, una con CD DVD in edizione limitata e una con un box esclusivo a tiratura limitata di 1500 copie. A Sense of Purpose (engl. für „Ein Sinn für Bestimmung“) ist das neunte Studioalbum der schwedischen Metal-Band In Flames. Das Album wurde am 4. April 2008 via Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht.

A Sense of Purpose is the ninth studio album by Swedish metal band In Flames, first released in Japan on 26 March 2008. It was released on 1 April[4] and 4 April 2008 in North America and Europe respectively. A Sense of Purpose is the last In Flames album with guitarist Jesper Strömblad, at this point the last original member, as he quit in February 2010.[5] The album debuted at number 1 on the official Swedish album chart. On 21 May 2009, the song "Disconnected" became an available download for the video game Guitar Hero World Tour.

A Sense of Purpose es el noveno álbum de estudio de la banda sueca de melodic death metal In Flames. Este álbum fue lanzado el 4 de abril de 2008 en Europa a través de Nuclear Blast y en Norteamérica el 1 de abril vía Koch Records, producido por la banda, junto con Roberto Laghi y Daniel Bergstrand, quien ya había producido el álbum Reroute to Remain y había sido productor de Scarve, Darkane y Meshuggah.[1] Se lanzó también una edición especial del álbum de tan solo 1500 copias.[2]
