Si tratta di un ambizioso progetto realizzato grazie alla 20th Century Fox da cui prese vita un doppio album registrato tra il 1974 ed il 1976 con la partecipazione di molti degli artisti di maggior successo del periodo, contenente nuove versioni di classici brani dei Beatles utilizzati quale ideale corredo sonoro per l'omonimo documentario sulla seconda guerra mondiale, uscito nelle sale cinematografiche nel 1976.

Il progetto è ricordato specialmente per la bellezza della colonna sonora, all'epoca pubblicata in doppio LP di vinile e capace di riunire intorno alla immortale musica dei Beatles gran parte dei musicisti di maggior successo dell'epoca - sebbene assai diversi per genere e stile - quali Rod Stewart, Bee Gees e Status Quo.

Ad oggi, del documentario non risultano ristampe DVD.

All This and World War II is a 1976 musical documentary[1] directed by Susan Winslow. It juxtaposes Beatles songs covered by a variety of musicians with World War II newsreel footage and 20th Century Fox films, in a manner meant by the filmmakers to be similar to the 1975 documentary Brother, Can You Spare a Dime? The film was severely mauled by critics and lasted just two weeks in cinemas before being pulled.[2]
