Angel Rat ist das sechste Studioalbum der kanadischen Metal-Band Voivod und zugleich das zweite Album für MCA Records. Während der Aufnahmen verließ Bassist Jean-Yves Theriault die Band. Das Album ist das am meisten auf kommerziellen Erfolg ausgerichtete Album von Voivod und verkaufte sich rund 150.000 Mal.[1]

Angel Rat is the sixth studio album released by Canadian heavy metal band Voivod. Produced by Terry Brown of Rush fame, it was released in 1991 by Mechanic/MCA Records and is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed release, 1989's Nothingface. On this album, Voivod adopted a more alternative/progressive/psychedelic rock sound, as opposed to the progressive metal of Nothingface and the thrash metal of previous releases. A music video was made for the song "Clouds in My House".

Producido por Terry Brown, fue lanzado en 1991 por MCA Records y fue el sucesor del álbum Nothingface de 1989, aunque no alcanzó el mismo éxito. Este es el último álbum grabado con el bajista original Jean-Yves Thériault, pues dejó la banda por el poco éxito alcanzado con este álbum y el radical giro musical de la banda.
