Descrizione
Lo show vede una formazione senza un batterista di ruolo (includendo Mike Rathke alla chitarra e al sintetizzatore, il bassista Fernando Saunders, e la violoncellista Jane Scarpantoni). Reed eseguì drammatiche versioni piene di pathos di alcuni dei suoi brani più celebri (e non).

Animal Serenade is a live album by American rock musician Lou Reed, recorded in Los Angeles at the Wiltern Theatre in 2003 after The Raven. The show features a drummer-less band (including Mike Rathke on guitar/synth, bassist, vocalist Fernando Saunders, and the cello of Jane Scarpantoni). Reed delivers dramatic readings of some of his most compelling work.
