Gli Everly Brothers
Il 45 giri, pubblicato dalla Cadence Records con il numero di serie 1315[1], arrivò alla prima posizione della classifica Country Singles, alla seconda di Billboard Hot 100 ed alla quinta di R&B Singles, tutte e tre charts statunitensi[4], ed alla sesta dell'Official Charts Company del Regno Unito[5]. Altri risultati in classifica conosciuti sono la quarta posizione nei Paesi Bassi e la quindicesima nella Germania Ovest[6].
In seguito, Bye Bye Love apparve su numerosissime compilations, oltre che sull'album in studio The Everly Brothers (1958) e sul live The Reunion Concert (1953)[7].
I Beatles
I Beatles eseguirono un enorme numero di canzoni, tra cui molte covers, durante le Get Back sessions[8]. Fra le covers, c'era anche Bye Bye Love, eseguita il 25 gennaio 1969, quattordicesima giornata di lavorazione all'album che poi verrà pubblicato, oltre un anno dopo, sotto il nome di Let It Be. Nell'ordine, venne suonata dopo I Lost My Little Girl (la prima composizione di Paul McCartney) e For You Blue (firmata George Harrison)[9].
