Genesi e registrazione


Il terzo disco da solista di Liam Gallagher è stato annunciato il 1º ottobre 2021.[5] L'album, che il cantante ha definito "un po' strano e diverso dagli altri due da solista",[6] è nato durante la quarantena imposta dalla pandemia di COVID-19.[7] In particolare, Liam Gallagher ha dichiarato:

«Ero stato in tour prima che scoppiasse la pandemia, quindi ero felice di prendermi del tempo libero, capisci? Non avevo intenzione di pubblicare un altro disco. Durante la prima quarantena è stato bello rilassarsi. [...] Quando siamo usciti dalla seconda quarantena, mi ero un po' annoiato. Così un pomeriggio sono entrato in studio e ho iniziato ad armeggiare con alcune canzoni.[7]»

Il titolo del disco deriva, come dichiarato da Gallagher, da un'espressione utilizzata frequentemente da John Fendley, detto Fenners, conduttore della trasmissione televisiva Soccer AM.[8]

Il singolo di lancio del disco, Everything's Electric, è stato pubblicato il 4 febbraio 2022 ed è stato composto con Dave Grohl.[9] Il singolo successivo, C'mon You Know, è stato pubblicato il 1º aprile 2022,[3] mentre il terzo singolo, Better Days, è uscito il 22 aprile seguente.[4]

Il tour del disco è iniziato il 1º giugno 2022 con un concerto al City of Manchester Stadium di Manchester di fronte a 80 000 spettatori[10] ed è proseguito, il 3 e 4 giugno, con due concerti con il tutto esaurito a Knebworth Park, di fronte a 170 000 spettatori complessivi.[11] Il 3 giugno il disco è salito al primo posto della classifica britannica degli album.[3]

C'mon You Know is the third solo studio album by English musician Liam Gallagher, released on 27 May 2022 through Warner Records. Andrew Wyatt served as the album's primary producer and co-writer. It was preceded by lead single "Everything's Electric", co-written by Dave Grohl, which charted at #18 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Gallagher's first solo single to reach the UK Top 20. "C'mon You Know", "Better Days","Diamond in the Dark" and "Too Good for Giving Up" were also subsequently released as singles. The album was released the same day as Gallagher's second live album Down by the River Thames. Gallagher will tour Europe in support of the album.[1]
