Nel disco sono presenti due tracce autobiografiche relative al cantante Fat Mike: Straight Outta Massachusetts, la quale descrive il suo spostamento dal Massachusetts alla California quando era un bambino[7] e My Orphan Year, che narra della perdita di entrambi i genitori[10] avvenuta nel 2006[7][10]. Ha raggiunto la posizione numero 39 nella Billboard Independent Albums[11].

Per la canzone Cokie the Clown è stato creato un video, girato a Chicago.[14][15] Mostra sia Fat Mike vestito da clown fare scherzi ai membri del gruppo e ad altre persone (tra cui Tim McIlrath e Matt Skiba[16]) attraverso un fiore che spruzza polvere bianca[14][16] sia la band in concerto (sempre a Chicago, durante il Riot Fest[15]) mentre suona il brano.

Cokie the Clown is an EP by NOFX released on November 24, 2009 through Fat Wreck Chords. The EP was released as a single 5-song CD, and two separate 7" vinyl records dubbed Cokie the Clown and My Orphan Year.[5][6] The tracks on this release were written and recorded during the Coaster sessions.[7] The song "Co-Dependence Day" was previously released on the Warped Tour 2009 Tour Compilation. The album peaked at number 39 on the Billboard Independent Albums.[8]
