Dark Passion Play ist das sechste Studioalbum der finnischen Symphonic-Metal-Band Nightwish. Das Album wurde im deutschsprachigen Raum am 28. September 2007 bei Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht. Bereits zwei Tage zuvor veröffentlichte Spinefarm Records das Album in Finnland. Es ist das erste Album mit der neuen Sängerin Anette Olzon, der Nachfolgerin von Tarja Turunen.

Dark Passion Play is the sixth studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. It was released on 26 September 2007 by Spinefarm Records in Finland, 28 September by Nuclear Blast in Europe and 2 October 2007 by Roadrunner Records in the US. It is the first album without original vocalist Tarja Turunen, who was dismissed in 2005, as well as the first album involving future member Troy Donockley on uilleann pipes and tin whistle. It is the first of only two albums with vocalist Anette Olzon, who was eventually dismissed in 2012 after the release of the band's subsequent album, Imaginaerum.[1] Tuomas Holopainen has referred to this album as the "album that saved his life".[2]

Dark Passion Play (с англ. — «Тёмная игра страстей») — шестой студийный альбом финской симфоник-пауэр-метал-группы Nightwish. Вышел 26 сентября 2007 года в Финляндии, 28 сентября в Европе и 2 октября в США. Это первый альбом группы с участием вокалистки Анетт Ользон, а также первый альбом без предыдущей вокалистки Тарьи Турунен, покинувшей коллектив в октябре 2005 года. Лидер группы Туомас Холопайнен представил Dark Passion Play, как «альбом, который спас его жизнь»[5].
