Descrizione


Rispetto ai precedenti album, Desire presenta sonorità marcatamente pop e testi più personali, come spiegato dal frontman Theo Hutchcraft:[3]

«Presenta echi di tutti i tre gli album precedenti. [...] Ci sono tutte queste strade che abbiamo percorso in passato, prendi un po' da lì, un po' da qui. Ma nel complesso volevamo solo fare un disco pop grande e potente e questa è sicuramente la direzione su cui siamo, quindi è bello. [...] Siamo stati solo un po' più personali su questo disco. Penso che spesso i nostri dischi siano molto aperti e personali, ma penso che sia stato interessante esplorare parti diverse di me stesso e raccontare storie diverse. Penso che sia qualcosa che mi è sempre piaciuto e brani come Wonderful Life, Rolling Stone, tutte quelle, sono tutte storie. Abbiamo imparato ad aprici e abbiamo esperienze differenti; voglio dire: abbiamo le esperienze più strane!»

Promozione


Il 21 aprile 2017 il duo ha reso disponibile per il download digitale il primo singolo Beautiful Ones, accompagnato nel medesimo giorno dal relativo videoclip.[4] Il 1º settembre è stato pubblicato come secondo singolo Ready to Go.[5]

Tra ottobre e dicembre 2017 il gruppo ha intrapreso il Desire Tour, esibendosi in svariate città dell'Europa.[6] Il 12 ottobre è stato inoltre presentato il videoclip per la settima traccia Chaperone.[7]

It was released on 29 September 2017 by Columbia Records.[4] The album's lead single "Beautiful Ones" was released on 21 April 2017.[5] It was followed by the second single "Ready to Go", which was released on 1 September 2017,[6] and "Chaperone", which was released on 12 October 2017 as the third single.[7]
