Parlando dell'album, la cantante Ash Costello ha detto ad Alternative Press[1]:

«Abbiamo preso ciò che abbiamo vissuto nell'ultimo anno e mezzo e abbiamo riversato tutto in queste nuove canzoni. È un qualcosa a cui sappiamo tutti possono relazionarsi al loro stesso livello. Il mondo può infettarci con la sua negatività, ed è giusto lottare. Questo è davvero ciò di cui parla l'epidemia.» |
In un'altra intervista con Bloody Disgusting, Costello ha anche detto che l'EP parlava di "possedere le parti malate di noi e trasformarle in una forza"[2].
La terza traccia dell'EP, Defame Me, è apparsa anche nel terzo album in studio della band, Malevolence.
