Si tratta della prima pubblicazione del gruppo realizzata con Vicky Psarakis alla voce, la quale ha sostituito Alissa White-Gluz nel corso del 2014.[3][4]

Ad anticiparne la pubblicazione sono stati il singolo Disconnect Me, reso disponibile per il download digitale a partire dal 29 aprile 2014,[5] e i videoclip di tre brani: Gates of Horn and Ivory, My Witness, Your Victim e Gentle Disease, pubblicati tra il 16 gennaio e l'11 febbraio 2015.[6][7][8]

Eye of Providence is the fourth studio album by Canadian metal band The Agonist. It was released on February 23, 2015 in Europe and the following day in North America.[1] It is the first full-length album featuring vocalist Vicky Psarakis since the departure of founding member and original vocalist Alissa White-Gluz in 2014. The album received general acclaim from critics, with many applauding the utilization of Psarakis' vocals and her distinction from White-Gluz.
