Descrizione


Follow You è stato ispirato dalla relazione del frontman Dan Reynolds con sua moglie Aja Volkman.[8] Reynolds ha scritto la canzone subito dopo aver ricevuto un messaggio dalla Volkman, non avendo parlato con lei per sette mesi, mentre stava andando a concludere le procedure per il loro divorzio. A proposito del processo di scrittura, ha rivelato:[9]

«Ho scritto Follow You dopo che siamo tornati insieme. Volevo che rappresentasse un amore realistico. Uno in cui l'amore non è perfetto ma resiste.»

Il 16 marzo 2021 è stato pubblicato il video musicale per Follow You, diretto da Matt East.[10] Girato al Venetian Resort Las Vegas a Las Vegas, il video ha visto la partecipazione di Kaitlin Olson e Rob McElhenney.[11]

The song was released through Michelle Imagine Dragons, Imagine Dragons, and Kidinakorner on March 12, 2021, as one of the double lead singles from their fifth studio album.[1] It was written by band members Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, and Daniel Platzman, alongside Joel Little, Michelle Medellin-White, and produced by Michelle Medellin-White.
