Video musicale


Il video, diretto da Cho Soo-hyun (che per PSY ha diretto anche il video di Gangnam Style),[10] è stato girato l'8 e il 9 aprile a Seul e Goyang con un budget di oltre 150.000 dollari.[11] Nel video compaiono personaggi già visti nel video di Gangnam Style come Yoo Jae Suk e Noh Hong Chul e nuovi volti come la cantante delle Brown Eyed Girls Ga-in.[12] La coreografia utilizzata da PSY nel video è basata proprio sulla danza nel video di un brano delle Brown Eyed Girls, Abracadabra.[12]

Come il suo predecessore, ha stabilito nuovi record di visualizzazioni su YouTube, tra i quali quelli come video più veloce a raggiungere 100 milioni di visualizzazioni (80 ore), 200 milioni di visualizzazioni (212 ore) e 300 milioni di visualizzazioni (613 ore).[13] Ha inoltre stabilito il Guinness World Records per il maggior numero di visualizzazioni ottenute in un solo giorno.[14]

"Gentleman" is a K-pop song by South Korean musician Psy released on April 12, 2013 (KST), serving as his 19th single.[1] The song serves as the follow-up to his international hit single "Gangnam Style", which at the time of "Gentleman"'s release had been viewed on YouTube over 1.5 billion times.[2] The first public performance of the song, with its associated dance, was unveiled at 6:30 pm on April 13 at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seoul.[1][3][4] A poster and Twitter message was released containing the main line of the song "I'm a mother f••••• gentleman";[5][6] The obscured word was later revealed to be "father".[2] In 2013, Psy stated that he had no plans to release an album including the song or a sequel to it.
