L'album riceve generalmente pareri positivi da parte della critica specializzata, che elogia in particolare la produzione dei Neptunes, la quale spicca su quella di tutti gli altri.[1][4] Jason Birchmeier di Allmusic, assegna al disco quattro stelle su cinque.[1] Steve Juon, autore musicale di RapReviews, nota come il rapper non risparmi attacchi alla sua ex etichetta, la Tommy Boy Records,[4] e come l'album resti all'altezza delle aspettative attorno a N.O.R.E,[4] dandogli un voto sufficiente.[4] Tra le rare note negative, Juon non apprezza la base di Swizz Beatz in Nahmeanuheard.[4]

God's Favorite is the third solo studio album by rapper N.O.R.E. The album released on June 25, 2002, Def Jam Recordings.[5] The single "Nothin'" reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming his biggest hit single and his only to reach the Top 10. This album peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart moving 120,000 units in its first week of release.[6] In its second week of release, the album sold 64,000 additional units and dropped to number 8 on the Billboard 200.[7]
