Have One on Me è il terzo album discografico della cantautrice statunitense Joanna Newsom, pubblicato nel febbraio 2010 dalla Drag City. L'album racconta della relazione tra la cantante e il futuro marito Andy Samberg, che in quegli anni vivevano lei in California e lui a New York, e molte canzoni fanno cenno all'aborto che si suppone la Newsom abbia subito.

Si tratta di un triplo CD prodotto dalla stessa Newsom con la collaborazione al missaggio di Jim O'Rourke e Noah Georgeson e con l'accompagnamento per gli arrangiamenti di Ryan Francesconi.

Oltre all'arpa, strumento prediletto dalla Newsom, vengono utilizzati altri strumenti come pianoforte, tambura, clavicembalo e kaval. La produzione spazia dal blues e dal jazz di alcune tracce all'indie folk di altre, in cui sono inserite chitarre elettriche e batteria.

Il titolo e la data di pubblicazione sono stati annunciati nel gennaio 2010.

Il disco ha ricevuto in gran parte critiche positive ed hanno permesso alla Newsom di essere accostata a grandi artiste com Judee Sill, Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Rickie Lee Jones e Kate Bush.[5][6][7]

Il disco inoltre è stato inserito al primo posto della classifica dei migliori album del 2010 secondo About, The Observer, Uncut.

È stato in nomination ai Mojo Award nella categoria "Best album".

Have One on Me is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Joanna Newsom, released on February 23, 2010 via Drag City as the official follow-up to the harpist's highly acclaimed second studio release, 2006's Ys.[2] It is a triple album produced by herself and mixed by long-time collaborators Jim O'Rourke and Noah Georgeson, with the accompanying arrangements by Ryan Francesconi. Have One on Me continues Newsom's use of cryptic, pastoral lyrics, with a further progression of elements of her sound such as the orchestral accompaniment and the arrangements – with the inclusion of diverse instruments like the tambura, the harpsichord and the kaval.[3] The production also flirts with genres such as jazz and blues in some of the tracks, while adding drums and the electric guitar in others. The album is also her first since The Milk-Eyed Mender to include songs played on the piano instead of the harp. Because of health problems, Newsom's voice was damaged during the sessions consequently affecting the overall recording process and forcing the harpist to change her singing style.[4][5]
