Holiday for Soul Dance è un album discografico del musicista jazz statunitense Sun Ra e della sua Intergalactic Arkestra. Registrato a Chicago negli anni sessanta, non venne però pubblicato fino al 1970 quando uscì per l'etichetta El Saturn Records di proprietà dello stesso artista. Nel 1992 il disco venne ristampato dalla Evidence in formato Compact disc.

Nella sterminata discografia di Sun Ra, Holiday For Soul Dance viene considerato come una sorta di "opera minore" in quanto non contiene brani originali composti da Sun Ra.[2] Il disco fa parte del terzetto di album registrati tra il 1959 e il 1961, comprendenti standard jazz, che Ra pubblicò negli anni settanta. Gli altri erano Sound Sun Pleasure!! (inciso nel 1959 e pubblicato nel 1970) e Bad and Beautiful (inciso nel 1961 e pubblicato nel 1972).

Holiday for Soul Dance ist ein Jazzalbum von Sun Ra and His Astro Infinity Arkestra. Die circa Juni/Juli 1960 in den RCA Studios Chicago oder im Hall Recording Studio entstandenen Aufnahmen erschienen 1970 als Langspielplatte auf Saturn Research, 1991 als Compact Disc auf Evidence Records. Am 8. April 2014 wurde eine restaurierte und remasterte Fassung des Albums von Michael D. Anderson (Sun Ra Music Archive) und Irwin Chusid als Download über die Plattform Bandcamp veröffentlicht.

Holiday For Soul Dance is an album by the American jazz musician Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Arkestra recorded in Chicago, mid-1960 and originally released on his own Saturn label in 1970. The album was reissued by Evidence on Compact disc in 1992. Within Ra's catalogue, Holiday For Soul Dance is considered a bit of an oddity as it lacks any tracks written by Sun Ra,[5] although a song written by Phil Cohran, the Arkestra's cornet player, is included. The record is one of a trio of albums recorded between 1959 and 1961, featuring jazz standards, that Ra released in the early 1970s. The others were Sound Sun Pleasure!! (recorded 1959 and also released in 1970) and Bad and Beautiful (recorded 1961 and released in 1972).
