Il brano è stato scritto dallo stesso Sam Smith insieme a Jimmy Napes,[14] ed è stato prodotto da quest'ultimo e da Steve Fitzmaurice.


Video musicale


Il video musicale è stato pubblicato il 1º agosto 2014 su YouTube e ha ottenuto un grande successo, infatti il 2 aprile 2018 ha raggiunto il traguardo di un miliardo di visualizzazioni.


Successo commerciale


Il singolo ha raggiunto la posizione numero tre nella classifica del Regno Unito e la numero cinque nella Billboard Hot 100. È stato prodotto anche un remix ufficiale del brano, in cui sono presenti due strofe del rapper statunitense ASAP Rocky, ed è stato pubblicato il 9 settembre 2014.[15]

"I'm Not the Only One" is a song recorded by English singer Sam Smith from their debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour (2014). It was written by Smith with Jimmy Napes, who also produced the song along with Steve Fitzmaurice. Capitol Records released it to digital download on 31 August 2014 as the album's third single in the United Kingdom and on 24 September 2014 as the album's second single in the United States; an alternative version with American rapper A$AP Rocky was also released.
