Il brano è stato prodotto dai quattro DJ e ha visto la partecipazione vocale di Deborah Cox, che ha collaborato anche al processo di scrittura e composizione dello stesso. Leave the World Behind rappresenta inoltre la seconda collaborazione tra Axwell, Ingrosso e Angello, che in seguito formeranno gli Swedish House Mafia.

Nel 2013 un remake del brano della cantante svedese Lune ha scalato la classifica svedese fino a raggiungere la 22ª posizione.[1]


Video musicale


Il video è stato girato in Svezia, paese di origine di Axwell, Ingrosso e Angello. Il singolo viene utilizzato nella pubblicità della Volvo XC60 e la stessa auto viene utilizzata nel video musicale.

Leave the World Behind ist ein Lied der schwedischen House-Band Swedish House Mafia in Zusammenarbeit mit Laidback Luke und Deborah Cox. Damals war die Band noch nicht unter dem Namen Swedish House Mafia bekannt, weswegen der Titel im Allgemeinen mit Axwell/Ingrosso/Angello/Laidback Luke feat. Deborah Cox dargestellt ist.[1] In Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz war der Song ab dem 1. Juni 2009 erhältlich.[1][2][3] Leave the World Behind ist auf dem Album Until One enthalten und wurde von Laidback Luke, Axwell, Deborah Cox, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso und Dina Schmidt geschrieben und komponiert und von Laidback Luke, Axwell, Angello und Ingrosso produziert.[4] In den USA wurde der Track bei Ultra Records veröffentlicht, im Rest der Welt bei Axtone Records.[5]
