Originariamente pubblicato come doppio vinile, fu prodotto utilizzando registrazioni tra il 1978 ed il 1980. I lati A e B del vinile contengono le registrazioni effettuate con il Rolling Stones Mobile Studio all'Hammersmith Odeon durante il tour mondiale della band nel 1980. I lati C e D contengono registrazioni del 1978, precedentemente pubblicate solo in Giappone come Live at Hammersmith.

La prima versione pubblicata in formato CD venne editata in modo da farla rientrare in un unico disco, tuttavia l'album è stato poi rimasterizzato nel marzo 2007 in formato doppio disco, con la lista tracce originale.
