Descrizione


Il disco presenta 12 tracce classificabili tra il pop e la Dance/House. Per promuovere l'album Cher ha intrapreso il "The Farewell Tour" durato tre anni. Tra gli apri concerto ci sono stati i Village People, Cyndi Lauper e Caroline Reid, nei panni di Pam Ann, che ha aperto i concerti inglesi.


Accoglienza e successo commerciale


Massicciamente pubblicizzato dalla Warner, che voleva emulare il successo del precedente album di Cher (Believe del 1998), il disco debuttò molto alto nelle classifiche di mezzo mondo. Le critiche furono molto positive.[senza fonte].

Nonostante l'ottima partenza, l'album nel giro di poche settimane sparì dalle charts internazionali.

L'album raggiunse la 27ª posizione nella classifica italiana (FIMI). Ad oggi l'album ha venduto oltre 5 milioni di copie nel mondo.

Living Proof is the twenty-fourth studio album by American singer Cher. It was first released on November 6, 2001 by WEA and distributed in North America by Warner Bros. Records in 2002. After the commercial success of Believe (1998), Cher began work on her twenty-fourth studio album in 2000. Rob Dickins was chosen as the executive producer for the album, enlisting producers such as Johan Åberg, Chris Cox, Tony Moran, Bruce Roberts, Wayne Rodriguez, Stargate, Chicane, Ray Hedges, and Mark Taylor. Its music incorporates dance-pop, disco and house styles.

Living Proof —en español: Prueba viviente— es el vigésimo quinto álbum de estudio de la artista estadounidense Cher. Fue lanzado a finales de 2001 e inicios de 2002 por los sellos Warner Bros. Records y WEA Records. Incluye composiciones de Diane Warren, Mark Taylor y Paul Barry, los mismos escritores que intervinieron en su exitoso álbum Believe, en 1998.
