Descrizione


Il testo è ispirato ad un episodio di cannibalismo avvenuto nel 2001 a Rotenburg.[1] Armin Meiwes tagliò il pene a Bernd Jürgen Brandes e, dopo averlo cucinato, lo mangiò. In seguito Meiwes uccise Brandes e mangiò ciò che ne restava. Meiwes è stato condannato all'ergastolo (inizialmente fu condannato a otto anni per suicidio assistito in quanto la vittima era consenziente).

Nel video vengono mostrati il cantante Till Lindemann nell'atto di compiere un rapporto orale con un angelo, il batterista Christoph Schneider vestito da donna, il bassista Oliver Riedel accasciarsi agonizzante per terra seminudo e ricoperto di bianco, al pari del chitarrista Paul Landers, il batterista Christian Lorenz improvvisare un balletto e infine il chitarrista Richard Kruspe scontrarsi contro un suo clone.

A causa del contenuto, il video venne fortemente criticato in Germania.

Mein Teil ist ein Lied der deutschen Neue-Deutsche-Härte-Band Rammstein aus ihrem vierten Studioalbum Reise, Reise. Es wurde als erste Single des Albums am 26. Juli 2004 in Deutschland, Österreich und in der Schweiz veröffentlicht. In anderen Ländern wurde die Single zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt herausgebracht. Der Song ist außerdem im Best-of-Album Made in Germany 1995–2011 enthalten.

"Mein Teil" (German for "My part" or "My share", slang for "My penis") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, Reise, Reise (2004), on 26 July 2004. "Mein Teil" attracted controversy in Germany; the media dubbed it "Das Kannibalenlied" ("The Cannibal-Song") due to its lyrics referring to the Armin Meiwes cannibalism case, which helped to boost it to second place in the German music charts after its release in early August 2004. It was also a number-one hit in Spain. Remixes of the song were done by Arthur Baker and Pet Shop Boys. "Mein Teil" was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 48th Grammy Awards but lost to Slipknot's "Before I Forget".[1]

«Mein Teil» («mi parte» en idioma alemán) es el título del primer sencillo del álbum Reise, Reise (2004) de la banda alemana de música industrial Rammstein. La canción está inspirada en el caso de Armin Meiwes —"el caníbal de Rotemburgo"— y Bernd Jürgen Brandes. Meiwes publicó un anuncio en Internet bajo el pseudónimo de "Franky" en el que buscaba un hombre que estuviera dispuesto a dejarse mutilar y comer. Brandes, un ingeniero berlinés, contestó y en marzo de 2001 los dos hombres se dieron cita en la localidad de Rotenburg an der Fulda. Meiwes cortó y pasó por la sartén el pene de Brandes y se lo comieron juntos. Después, lo asesinó y congeló el cadáver para ir comiéndoselo poco a poco.
